PDF

Adobe Portable document format (PDF) is a standard for electronic document distribution, a universal file format that preserves fonts, formatting, graphics and colour of a source document, regardless of the platform and application.  Content in PDF documents can be saved in Rich Text Format, enabling reuse in other applications.

Any document can be converted to Adobe PDF using the appropriate software.  PDF files are compact (typically smaller than their source files) and are readily viewed using the freely available Adobe Acrobat Reader software.  Additionally, PDF files can be published and distributed as
email attachments, on CD or floppy disk, or on corporate servers and websites.
