Piper Group are looking for 4 Technical Authors for contracts in the North East.


Experience Required :

Piper Group are currently looking for 4 Technical Authors for a contract based in the North East expected to last approximately 4 months.  Flexible working arrangements are available to include working a four day week.

 

Task Overview

a)     Acceptance of Aerospace E-publications in trilogiView (Topics 1, 3A, 6 and 10)

b)     Comparing hardcopy output to trilogiView screen display.

c)    Checking all graphics, symbols and Ex- refs are shown correctly.

d)    Checking all structure has rendered correctly and is displayed in a readable/useable format.

e)    Checking for obvious formatting errors/problems.

f)      Checking that all tables are present and have rendered correctly. Must be displayed in a readable and useable format (especially headers and formatting within tables).

g)     Checking all figures are present (especially in-line graphics).

h)     Checking all paragraphs are present.

i)       Update SGML instance as required.

Key skills

a)     Must have SGML experience.

b)     Must be able to work with minimum of supervision (but equally, must know when to ask – we don't want them going off the wrong track).

c)     Must be IT literate.

d)     Either Mechanical/Electrical or Avionics

IT requirements

a)     Epic v5.1

b)     trilogiView v3.5

c)     Mercury (not essential, but needed to upload/download SGML instances for edit)
