Reporting into a Business Director, you will be responsible for providing exposure to BAE Systems' and external clients. This high profile role encompasses many dimensions including commercial, financial, business winning, customer care, team leadership, people management and technical acumen.

The business stream contains elements of both growth and contraction, supported by a capable team and infrastructure with the role holder required to manage with tenacity, sensitivity and professionalism.

As a development secondment, there is flexibility regarding the background of the individual. Nevertheless candidates are likely to be of graduate calibre with previous management experience and comfortable with financial and customer-facing aspects. Ideally with a good understanding of the technical publications/ aerospace/information management value chain, you will need to be a good administrator and effective communicator, comfortable operating at both the working and senior levels, with a dedication to people, customer satisfaction and commercial performance.

This role requires a regular presence in the Piper offices in the North East, North West and South West England so flexibility is required (base location is negotiable).

This is a 12 month secondment, with terms to be agreed.
