Description :
Job Summary: Supporting the FRL ILS Manager in planning and implementation of Reliability, Maintainability and Availability programmes; prediction and modelling of R, M and A of complex mechanical, electrical and electronic systems; planning and implementation of performance demonstrations and trials; liaison with design teams and customer representatives. Management of contracting agencies for deliverable documentation in respect of outplacement tasks.
Experience Required :
Key responsibilities
§ Local management of ILS aspects of military equipments designed and supported by Cobham Fluid Systems.
§ Local management of ILS/CLS aspects of civilian equipments.
§ Generation of R & M documentation and other support documentation as required by contract
§ Support to design in improving current reliability and maintainability predictions
§ Management of an in-house FRACAS process
§ Generating ILS Costs for projects in support of Project Management and ensuring projects are completed on time and in budget
§ Support to the FRL ILS Manager in all aspects of Fluid Systems Equipment ILS/CLS tasking.
§ Customer training
§ Generation and or management of production of equipment technical publications
§ Safety Case, HAZOP and HAZAN generation
Experience required:
§ Good verbal and written communications is essential, as is the ability to liaise effectively with other groups within the company and external agencies. Experience of the practical application of the following techniques is desirable; Reliability Maintainability and Availability Modelling, Logistic Support Analysis; Life Cycle Cost Analysis, Reliability Centred Maintenance, Contractor Logistic Support. Safety case, HAZOP and HAZAN, Technical Publications.
Qualifications Required :
Qualifications required Applicants should be qualified to HNC or equivalent level in mechanical engineering, with an understanding of electronics, or a related discipline. Experience as an equipment operator/maintainer in either the military, Royal Navy Engineering Artificer with fuel handling experience, or Oil and Gas industries would be an advantage.
